Central Hudson Gas & Electric announced that it was the victim of a penetration that may have resulted in the theft of account and banking details of over 110,000 customers. Representatives from the company say that there is no concrete evidence that the information was copied off of the servers.

In order to alleviate concerns of customers affected by this breach, Central Hudson is providing one free year of credit checks for these customers.
